Here it goes - Braces

I have got myself a big birthday present. I have always dreamt of myself without this vampy/tiger/Japanese looking teeth. It has always been my 'signature' look. I have always having this love hate relationship with it.

And I decided if I ever want to do this, if it's not now then when. After much consideration (mainly financial), I went online and search for orthodontist in JB. Thank God that I'm able to find one that's around 10 mins away from the Johor custom and he actually has a Facebook page! Although they do not have many reviews, but a few of good ones will be enough to persuade me to go to him for consultation.

I went to consultation just a week before my birthday, and he was asking me if I want to extract my teeth on that day. I said no, even though I wish it to start right away but I didnt want to celebrate my birthday without my teeth! so I delayed the appointment until 2 weeks later.

I have to remove 5 teeth in order to put on the braces, 4 were removed on the first day. It was a pretty sign. I changed the cotton before I left the clinic, and took bus back to Singapore straight away, and guess what, usual traffic congestion on the bridge and it started. Because I removed 4 first premolar so the bleeding was severe.

4 cotton balls and 1 face mask were covered with blood. The cotton balls were so wet that it transfer the blood to the face mask. What made it worse? we were still on a bus that has no air conditioned and crowded in the middle of congested traffic. I felt like fainted, this was no joke. I covered my face mask with my hand, and it made the mask dampened with more blood and the whole mask (literally) was covered with blood. I will never forget how Ney looked when he saw the 'crime scene', his expression was scared and disgusted (hahaha!). We had no tissue to wipe, and I kept asking him to ask around if there's anyone on the bus have tissue who are nice enough to give it to us, guess what, he was too nervous to even ask (hahahahaha!). Thank God that there's this Indian lady who saw us and quickly past her packet of tissue to us. I'm so grateful of her, without her, I will be going through custom with bloody face.

My face and lips were still numb and when I smile, it looked awkward (hahaha!).

So, my braces story begins from here.
