Chinese New Year 2016

This year, I learnt, time is the best gift that is given to us. And it is the best gift to be given to people we love. For it be the time for food, time for jokes, time for boasting, time for fire crackers, time for photos or just time for being presence. These are loveliest memories I made this year.

This year is a bit different, Ney wasn't around this year, he went back to KL with his families. Plus for both of us I guess, we haven't really spend enough time at home and because we are separated in two places, I have more time for my family and he has more time to spend with his family.

For non-chinese readers, here's how we typically spend our CNY at home. We eat, a lot. We, wait for the Ang Pao(s) that the elders or married cousins to bless us with. We catch up with each other about our life. We drink. So, typically we gain weight during this holiday.

 My dearest Grandpa and Grandma.
Lim's Family reunion dinner! Don't play play, we are one big kampung (family)!
After dinner, every time of the year, our Ah Ma transforms into the queen of Mathematics!

Our Ah Ma is one cute strong and active old lady. She is full of life and energy (you can feel it here!) and she is more than 90 years old now.
Our annual visit to dad's factory for the first day of work.

This dog here, is one manly dog. I first noticed him because he was stopping a fight between two other dogs. He stopped the 'bully' so quickly and two of them went separate ways after that. So handsome! Second time, I saw him walking with one of the workers (they feed him and take care of him so well that he follows them around), and there was a deep jump (as in those would make your feet hurt kinda deep) he followed the worker and jumped! And landed so graciously and handsome. (I'm a crazy dog lady, please pardon me). And I think I should give him a mention.

See, he is there.

Then, I met this little one outside our place. It's so friendly and you can feel that it's asking for loving touch! I don't mind touching or giving strays a good rub, I know all dogs love it and they don't often get to receive love from humans. I 'm willing to do it as often as I can.

Then, annual dinner with the company main staffs.
My Ah Ma's house, where all Lim's would call here, home. This living room has so much memories that I keep it so preciously in my heart. Family is everything.
Family portrait in front of the house. This is only part of our Lim's family. I'm looking forward to our next year big reunion dinner.

Last but not least, 'Lao Shang'.

It was an incredible Chinese New Year celebration. I appreciate my time off and able to go home. This trip back home helps me to put my perspective of life straight, and all the hardships at work, the loneliness when you are overseas are now nothing to me. I know I'm going forward to bring my family towards a better life. I know I'm making them proud. I know I can now provide instead of receiving.

Lastly, I can see God is blessing us so abundantly that I have nothing to complain about.

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.-
Philippians 4:19
