Photography Challenges



Always wanted a so called 'good' camera, even tough my parents never failed to provide me with the things I want, but I never feel satisfied enough. Recently, Ney bought me a new camera and this is a definitely a good camera to me, I am more than very happy with it!

I am really grateful that He provides us so greatly. So, to not waste the money and efforts ney spent, I now challenge myself to use this camera efficiently and creatively. I might not take so called good photos, but I am willing to see how my skills will evolve from here. So if you may, please follow me on Instagram (@louisa_min) so you can be part of my evolution!

My attempts of food photos as below, these desserts are amazing!!

Went to meet Wendy Wu Monday (6/3/15) and get to hang out with Moko/Mandee and her friends.  And Don, one of the chefs brought us to this Caddlenut Nyonya restaurant @ Outram park for their desserts right before their kitchen closed. So glad that we made it on time for all these heaven creation! According to Don, Caddlenut wants to infuse modern twists of flavour into the traditional nyonya dishes, to challenge the status quo and expectations. I'm totally buying this daring attempt, cause they are really REALLY yummy. Let's get to the photos now! These are the closed up photos, overall photo you may check out my IG! Being separated

Ney went to Hong Kong for business trip from today onwards for a week. I have forgotten how hard it is to be separated again. I thought I have overcame this separation anxiety from the past practices, but apparently I am wrong, so very wrong. Short Getaway to Batam, Indonesia

Every trip that we had, is always a much needed break from work. I don't know how people could work without without taking leave. I strongly believe taking breaks are healthy for all working adults. For it to be staying at home or going out of town for a good meal. It keeps you sane and help putting life into perspective. It allows you to think that work is necessary but what's more than life has to offer besides career. On our breaks, we get to just chill and talk about things.  This is our first time visiting Batam, Indonesia. It is a very popular short getaway place for Singaporeans because it is so near!  So popular that everything is expensive (in hotels), but it is still very cheap in the city.  We stayed at the Turi Beach Resort ( http://www.agoda.com/en-sg/turi-beach-resort/hotel/batam-island-id.html ), and I think it is a really good choice.  Selfie before departure, so happy that we are sitting here rather than in front of work desk! ...

When it happens and after that

I've stepped into my 6th week of post-surgery, I'm feeling much better now. I look perfectly fine from the outside (as usual) with some help from cosmetics. Let's talk about the week when my operation was conducted. This experience is something I want to remember. It is the biggest surgery our family had to go through together. It wasn't an easy experience, so many decisions had to be made in a short period of time. My problem happens on the mitral valve, it wasn't closing as it should have because of the previous vegetation had loosen it and had left a hole unto the valve. This had caused the oxidized blood to leak back to the heart. If left untreated, I would have a heart failure.   So, my surgery was arranged on the 13th of November, 7 am. I was the first case for the surgeon, Dr Pau. I couldn't sleep well the night before, my thought was I will be sleeping the whole day the next day, what is sleep now.
