Pray for the family - MH17

Woke up to another bad news today. I can't believe what just happened to MAS again. Is this bad luck or what I don't know, but I definitely feel terribly sorry for the families. What an unfortunate incident to know on a Friday morning. I can't imagine the pain the families are going through right now especially when Raya is just around the corner.

After the missing plane thingy earlier this year, I have anxiety on taking flights to travel now. I'm afraid one day I might not seen my family again. And this anxiety just doubled. O.o At this time, how did the crash happen is still unclear and under investigation. Singapore airlines has just stopped all flights over Ukraine as one of their plane, SQ351 was 25km away from MH17 when it was shot down (can read it here). That was CLOSE.

I pray hard my family will always be safe and protected in this kind of time and hold my loved one close and tight. I hope the world will be a better place when people be more kind and love one another more.

Being separated

Ney went to Hong Kong for business trip from today onwards for a week. I have forgotten how hard it is to be separated again. Short Getaway to Batam, Indonesia

Every trip that we had, is always a much needed break from work. I don't know how people could work without without taking leave. I strongly believe taking breaks are healthy for all working adults. For it to be staying at home or going out of town for a good meal. It keeps you sane and help putting life into perspective. It allows you to think that work is necessary but what's more than life has to offer besides career. On our breaks, we get to just chill and talk about things.  This is our first time visiting Batam, Indonesia. When it happens and after that

I've stepped into my 6th week of post-surgery, I'm feeling much better now. I look perfectly fine from the outside (as usual) with some help from cosmetics. Let's talk about the week when my operation was conducted. This experience is something I want to remember. It is the biggest surgery our family had to go through together. It wasn't an easy experience, so many decisions had to be made in a short period of time. My problem happens on the mitral valve, it wasn't closing as it should have because of the previous vegetation had loosen it and had left a hole unto the valve. This had caused the oxidized blood to leak back to the heart. If left untreated, I would have a heart failure.   So, my surgery was arranged on the 13th of November, 7 am. I was the first case for the surgeon, Dr Pau. I couldn't sleep well the night before, my thought was I will be sleeping the whole day the next day, what is sleep now.
