Stuck in my head

Yesterday night, I went to my ex-housemate/ex-cell group leader's convocation in UWA, my very first time to attend a convocation in Perth. She looked so beautiful in her dress and wedges.  Last Saturday was my another girl friend's convocation, but unfortunately, I was working in the election the whole Saturday, and wasn't able to attend hers. However, thanks to Facebook and Instagram, I was able to check out her photos. She looked so good in her gown! Oh my dear Lord, I want  to look good in mine too!!

Now, all I can think before my sleep are what to prepare for my own convo. Ha, that's what girls do after looking at other pretty girls. Lol. or Maybe is just me? Well, it is good to have vision and I can't wait for that day to come, not only I am graduating, but I will have my families and Ney here with me to witness my ending of one chapter of life and starting of my real adulthood. I guess, I will need really good water proof and oil proof make up, surely I'll cry and don forget it will be SUMMER time!! (OHnoooo...) 

Anyways, Congrats to my girl friends, Rachel and Nouveena again. Wishing them the best of the best in their career and future.

Being separated

Ney went to Hong Kong for business trip from today onwards for a week. I have forgotten how hard it is to be separated again. I thought I have overcame this separation anxiety from the past practices, but apparently I am wrong, so very wrong. Short Getaway to Batam, Indonesia

Every trip that we had, is always a much needed break from work. I don't know how people could work without without taking leave. I strongly believe taking breaks are healthy for all working adults. For it to be staying at home or going out of town for a good meal. It keeps you sane and help putting life into perspective. It allows you to think that work is necessary but what's more than life has to offer besides career. On our breaks, we get to just chill and talk about things.  This is our first time visiting Batam, Indonesia. It is a very popular short getaway place for Singaporeans because it is so near!  So popular that everything is expensive (in hotels), but it is still very cheap in the city.  We stayed at the Turi Beach Resort ( http://www.agoda.com/en-sg/turi-beach-resort/hotel/batam-island-id.html ), and I think it is a really good choice.  Selfie before departure, so happy that we are sitting here rather than in front of work desk! ...

When it happens and after that

I've stepped into my 6th week of post-surgery, I'm feeling much better now. I look perfectly fine from the outside (as usual) with some help from cosmetics. Let's talk about the week when my operation was conducted. This experience is something I want to remember. It is the biggest surgery our family had to go through together. It wasn't an easy experience, so many decisions had to be made in a short period of time. My problem happens on the mitral valve, it wasn't closing as it should have because of the previous vegetation had loosen it and had left a hole unto the valve. This had caused the oxidized blood to leak back to the heart. If left untreated, I would have a heart failure.   So, my surgery was arranged on the 13th of November, 7 am.
