Day 5: Today

I am currently reading the book by John Bevere, RELENTLESS.
I have been wanting to read it since few years back, but just couldn't get my hand on one.
When I saw my cell group member has one, I just borrowed it from her straight away! How could I miss this opportunity!!
I have learned so much already even tho I am half way till I finish the book.
I am so encouraged and empowered by the Words of God through this book.
Being a Christian for so many years, and I just realized how little I understand the Bible, yes, I read it everyday yet the understanding of the words are so swallow and surfac-y.
I was hidden from many free and powerful gifts of God because of my swallow and surface understanding of His words! If only I had know them earlier, I guess I would have ruled over my own life more successfully and live more gloriously for God.
Well, God has His timing, maybe now is the only right time for me to understand His words this way.
John Bevere uses very simple words and forms of sentences with  many relevant examples to explain God's words, this allows me as a non-English speaker to have more understanding.
I am glad that I allow myself the whole month to be free from any travels and plannings, so I can just soak myself in books or any random pop-up activities to do to increase my skill or knowledge.

Being separated

Ney went to Hong Kong for business trip from today onwards for a week. I have forgotten how hard it is to be separated again. girls, I am sure you all can understand what I feel. Chinese has yellowish skin tone, and we are easily tanned by the sun. We all don't want to have wrinkles right? Short Getaway to Batam, Indonesia

Every trip that we had, is always a much needed break from work. I don't know how people could work without without taking leave. I strongly believe taking breaks are healthy for all working adults. For it to be staying at home or going out of town for a good meal. It keeps you sane and help putting life into perspective. It allows you to think that work is necessary but what's more than life has to offer besides career. On our breaks, we get to just chill and talk about things.  This is our first time visiting Batam, Indonesia.
