Grown-up trip to London Part 2
1st attempt of Belgium food in my life, and it was an amazing first try... The people are friendly and welcoming. I suppose not many tourists would know this place, this place was introduced by my Ney of course, but his friend brought him here when he was visiting London back then. So, back to the restaurant, address and more information just Google "London Belgium Food", tada! it ranks at the 1st tab of the page searched. or you can simply click here, it will direct you to the home page.
The restaurant is at the underground, it gives you a 'cave' feeling, and it was nice! The have a big open kitchen, and their male and female toilets are linked too, both sexes share the same hand basin. Cool huh?
Another COOL thing about this restaurant is that, it has promotion period, for dinner is called "BEAT THE CLOCK" from 5pm. It means: (Copied and pasted from the official website)
PAY THE PRICE AT THE TIME SHOWN ON YOUR FOOD ORDER
AWESOME right?? How I wish Perth has this kind of good stuff.. (Maybe there is but I haven't heard of any..)and The food!! oh my, it was pretty good! Look at that chicken, well cooked and the sauce, yum yum!
Ney had the classic mussels, it was fresh and they cooked it in wine, the taste combination is mixed well, I don really fancy seafood like Ney does, but this dish just amazed me. and I was the one who finished everything. :))
The dessert was alright, we don really know how to enjoy the flavour as the orange sauce is a little bit bitter and it tastes better with the vanilla ice-cream, and if you finishes ice-cream as fast as we did, you are in deep trouble cause you gotta finish the crepe with the bitter orange sauce. *no way...!! personally I don like it*
So, some travel information in London, got yourself an oyster card, is easier to travel, but there is no student discount from it. Nvm, I have the Queen accompanied me around. :)) The card was 5 pound and you can return it and get the 5 pound and the remaining money inside the card, so remember to get one to travel! cause you gotta need it as you will travel everywhere using the underground train.
We stayed in the youth and student hotel, and it was pretty good, people are friendly, clean and safe to stay in. People watched Europe cup together at the TV room, chilling in the lobby or chit chatting in the dining area, is just very welcoming. But me and Ney just treated it as a hotel, a place to sleep and shower then Ciao for the whole day.
The neighbourhood where the hotel located, Nice right??
The Victoria bus station, we are heading to the airport for our next stop, btw, the buses are equipped with toilets! How awesome is that?? unlike in Malaysia, we have to wait till the bus stops at the resting area only we can go to release..
