20th Birthday.


I am 20 years old now.
Stepped into 20s club.
In this very special day, I did something crazy!

I cut my fringe! by myself!
I cannot stand the long fringe! (Yeah! to those who hate long fringe too)

Have my super satisfied lunch with my ex-cellies.
There was a kid-Halloween event at the park, the kids were everywhere, with painted face running everywhere. How I wish I have my children to enjoy like them too. (Sorry for my habit of never stop dreaming. ;))
1st birthday present from Suvina, aunty Rose, and a Princess birthday card from Suvina, Xin, and Agness. I was TOUCHED!

Is a perfume + hand creme hamper. I don think I will use it. I mean who is going to use this present? They are just too lovely to be used. (Agree??)
It is going to put in my collections! Yeah!
At night, have my SURPRISE dinner with the cellies and KBU forever friends!
Biggest clap to Pauline (my 1st sem cg leader), for she has arranged this secret surprise dinner for me. She asked my KBU forever friends to come for the dinner. I was so SURPRISE when I saw David Tan showed out at the staircase. I just burst into cry. Hahaha.. I was too shock to see them since they are having their final soon, and they come all the way from Nedland by public transport in a Sunday. Thank you so much for coming guys!! I will remember this birthday forever!

Being separated

Ney went to Hong Kong for business trip from today onwards for a week. I have forgotten how hard it is to be separated again. Short Getaway to Batam, Indonesia

Every trip that we had, is always a much needed break from work. I don't know how people could work without without taking leave. I strongly believe taking breaks are healthy for all working adults. For it to be staying at home or going out of town for a good meal. It keeps you sane and help putting life into perspective. It allows you to think that work is necessary but what's more than life has to offer besides career. On our breaks, we get to just chill and talk about things.  This is our first time visiting Batam, Indonesia. It is a very popular short getaway place for Singaporeans because it is so near!  So popular that everything is expensive (in hotels), but it is still very cheap in the city.  We stayed at the Turi Beach Resort ( http://www.agoda.com/en-sg/turi-beach-resort/hotel/batam-island-id.html ), and I think it is a really good choice.  Selfie before departure, so happy that we are sitting here rather than in front of work desk! ...

When it happens and after that

I've stepped into my 6th week of post-surgery, I'm feeling much better now. I look perfectly fine from the outside (as usual) with some help from cosmetics. Let's talk about the week when my operation was conducted. This experience is something I want to remember. It is the biggest surgery our family had to go through together. It wasn't an easy experience, so many decisions had to be made in a short period of time. My problem happens on the mitral valve, it wasn't closing as it should have because of the previous vegetation had loosen it and had left a hole unto the valve. This had caused the oxidized blood to leak back to the heart. If left untreated, I would have a heart failure.   So, my surgery was arranged on the 13th of November, 7 am. I was the first case for the surgeon, Dr Pau. I couldn't sleep well the night before, my thought was I will be sleeping the whole day the next day, what is sleep now.
