Last Cell Group for John Goh




We have our cg feast last night as the farewell party for our temporary cell leader, Jonathan Goh the Singaporean.
He is going back to Singapore for good tomorrow.
He is like a magnet to us, he stick all of us together when we are so separated to different cell. Our 1st proper cell group in Sem 2 2011 was with him, and we had a super late cg ever! Went to Utopia for bubble tea game till 12++ in the morning. It was an awesome cell group, everyone was happy.
He cook for us in the 2nd cell, the pasta was "Cheng!"
He gave us bible study, and made it so fun and memorable.
We also celebrated Nicholas's birthday , the Indonesian from Selangor, tho it was a day late, but he was still happy and appreciate, Sorry bro!
After that, went to King's park for celebrating the late Mooncake Festival with Joseph's cell, is kinda cold, but still alright since is Spring in Perth now.
The scenery was awesome, the moon and sky was perfect. and we even have some doggy scene opposite us, couple kissing like nobody business. And because of that, Christ, Carol , Nicholas and others started to become doggy as well. Haha.. All of the sudden everything become so doggy and funny.
It was a fun night.. If I have a car, I can always have this kind of gathering with my friends, but I don have one. Tsk Tsk..
Friends are not easy to click at here, I pray I pray to have friends who are able to click with me SOON, real soon! Amen.

Being separated

Ney went to Hong Kong for business trip from today onwards for a week. I have forgotten how hard it is to be separated again. I thought I have overcame this separation anxiety from the past practices, but apparently I am wrong, so very wrong. Short Getaway to Batam, Indonesia

Every trip that we had, is always a much needed break from work. I don't know how people could work without without taking leave. I strongly believe taking breaks are healthy for all working adults. For it to be staying at home or going out of town for a good meal. It keeps you sane and help putting life into perspective. It allows you to think that work is necessary but what's more than life has to offer besides career. On our breaks, we get to just chill and talk about things.  This is our first time visiting Batam, Indonesia. It is a very popular short getaway place for Singaporeans because it is so near!  So popular that everything is expensive (in hotels), but it is still very cheap in the city.  We stayed at the Turi Beach Resort ( http://www.agoda.com/en-sg/turi-beach-resort/hotel/batam-island-id.html ), and I think it is a really good choice.  Selfie before departure, so happy that we are sitting here rather than in front of work desk! ...

When it happens and after that

I've stepped into my 6th week of post-surgery, I'm feeling much better now. I look perfectly fine from the outside (as usual) with some help from cosmetics. Let's talk about the week when my operation was conducted. This experience is something I want to remember. It is the biggest surgery our family had to go through together. It wasn't an easy experience, so many decisions had to be made in a short period of time. My problem happens on the mitral valve, it wasn't closing as it should have because of the previous vegetation had loosen it and had left a hole unto the valve. This had caused the oxidized blood to leak back to the heart. If left untreated, I would have a heart failure.   So, my surgery was arranged on the 13th of November, 7 am. I was the first case for the surgeon, Dr Pau. I couldn't sleep well the night before, my thought was I will be sleeping the whole day the next day, what is sleep now.
