2010

IT's been a very tough year for me.
Like REALLY tough...
Though the real life is cruel, but I'm still able to survive and grew stronger in mentally and spiritually throughout the year.
I learnt to be strong when facing the truth. Despite, it isn't good..

Friends, are the precious gift for me this year, they are wonderful and lovely. I'm glad that all of them make it to Australia, though I'm not going with them. I wish all of them the VERY BEST!

Result, is the disaster for me this year, despite saying it as disaster, I would say it is a training. It make me realize that I'm not so tough after all. I should build my foundation stronger so that I can pass the training with flying colours.

Family, is the best thing I have. Due to the tough journey, our relationship has improved so MUCH.. Hugs are the most common action we will do whenever I want to leave my parents.

Relationship, is the thing that I appreciate most!! He hold me tight when the fall is happening, he push me higher when the raise is happening. How wonderful it is, I can't live without him right now. Love you so so so so so so so much Douglas Teh.

I will not end 2010 in misery! On the other hand, I will end it stronger! Just like what Pastor Kevin said :" start the year strong, and end the year stronger"

    Glad to hear that you manage to stand back up again after falling...Jiamin, you are really a tough girl, stronger and tougher than anyone of us! I believe that in the future you will be a very successful person because you are not afraid of anything and more importantly, you never give up so easily. Loiusa Lim Jia Min, gambateh!     Trouble makes u stronger dear.
    God's blessings always fall on you, but in different way that u may not know.
    HE has a better plan, but it needs u to fall down 1st. As you cn learn fr the problems and become stronger...then only u can help him to complete his plan =)

Being separated

Ney went to Hong Kong for business trip from today onwards for a week. I have forgotten how hard it is to be separated again. Short Getaway to Batam, Indonesia

Every trip that we had, is always a much needed break from work. I don't know how people could work without without taking leave. I strongly believe taking breaks are healthy for all working adults. For it to be staying at home or going out of town for a good meal. It keeps you sane and help putting life into perspective. It allows you to think that work is necessary but what's more than life has to offer besides career. On our breaks, we get to just chill and talk about things.  This is our first time visiting Batam, Indonesia. It is a very popular short getaway place for Singaporeans because it is so near!  So popular that everything is expensive (in hotels), but it is still very cheap in the city.  We stayed at the Turi Beach Resort ( http://www.agoda.com/en-sg/turi-beach-resort/hotel/batam-island-id.html ), and I think it is a really good choice.  Selfie before departure, so happy that we are sitting here rather than in front of work desk! ...

When it happens and after that

I've stepped into my 6th week of post-surgery, I'm feeling much better now. I look perfectly fine from the outside (as usual) with some help from cosmetics. Let's talk about the week when my operation was conducted. This experience is something I want to remember. It is the biggest surgery our family had to go through together. It wasn't an easy experience, so many decisions had to be made in a short period of time. My problem happens on the mitral valve, it wasn't closing as it should have because of the previous vegetation had loosen it and had left a hole unto the valve. This had caused the oxidized blood to leak back to the heart. If left untreated, I would have a heart failure.   So, my surgery was arranged on the 13th of November, 7 am. I was the first case for the surgeon, Dr Pau. I couldn't sleep well the night before, my thought was I will be sleeping the whole day the next day, what is sleep now.
